On December 31, 2024, the Sixth Session of the Third Council of China-ASEAN Chamber of Agricultural Commerce (CACAC)  was held in Beijing to summarize CACAC's annual work and make preparations for the convening of CACAC's Fourth Member Congress. Fan Huiqun, Executive Vice-president and Secretary-general of the Third Council of CACAC presided over the meeting and presented the work report of the Sixth Session of the Third Council and the 2023 Financial Report of CACAC.

In her work report, Fan Huiqun stated that over the past year, CACAC has made every effort to promote the supply and price stability of agricultural materials, serving and safeguarding national food security. It has diligently undertaken and implemented Lancang-Mekong Cooperation projects, facilitating the deepening of regional agricultural cooperation and exchanges. CACAC has actively organized and participated in various activities, strengthening domestic and international exchanges and member services. Additionally, it has continuously standardized and enhanced its organizational development, improving its capacity for growth and service provision. Moving forward, CACAC will further leverage its role as an international organization to better serve the government, the industry, and its members. It will focus on enhancing its development capabilities and service levels, better building platforms and carry out activities, promoting resource and information sharing, and market matchmaking, thereby fostering deeper cooperation and exchanges between China and ASEAN countries.

The meeting reviewed and approved the work report of the Sixth Session of the Third Council and the 2023 Financial Report of CACAC. It also deliberated on the list of members to be disqualified, the list of newly developed members, changes in the level or personnel of director units, changes in the level or personnel of executive director units, and adjustments to the level of vice presidents. The meeting provided an explanation regarding the convening of CACAC's Fourth Member Congress, announced the content and agenda of the Congress, and reviewed and approved the methods for the selection of member representatives (draft), the election procedures (draft), and the list of member representatives for the Fourth Member Congress.

Concurrently with the meeting, the Tenth Session of the Third Standing Council of CACAC was also held. Additionally, the Third Meeting of the Second Session of the International Trade Committee of CACAC, the Second Meeting of the Second Session of the International Water-Soluble Fertilizer Branch of CACAC, and the Second Plenary Meeting of the Expert Committee of CACAC were convened. These meetings discussed the current production and trade situation of fertilizers and agricultural products both domestically and internationally, and put forward opinions and suggestions on industry development and the work of CACAC.

Nearly 50 representatives attended the meeting, including members of the Third Council of CACAC, representatives from CACAC's International Trade Committee, International Water-Soluble Fertilizer Branch, and Expert Committee.
