On April 27, 2026, the Third Session of the Fourth Standing Council of the China-ASEAN Chamber of Agricultural Commerce (CACAC) was held in a combination of online and offline formats in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. Cong Shan, President of CACAC, attended the meeting and delivered a concluding speech. The meeting was chaired by Executive Vice President Fan Huiqun. More than 30 representatives, including standing council members and other member representatives, attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed and approved the appointment of heads for the internal departments of the secretariat and CACAC’s key work plan for 2026, and heard suggestions and opinions on CACAC’s work. Additionally, at the request of the Trade Representation of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in China, CACAC organized the “Russian Peat Project Trade Cooperation and Investment Development Promotion and Exchange Event” for Chinese and Russian companies. Representatives from the Arkhangelsk Region introduced the region’s investment potential and the specific details of the cooperation project led by the Arkhangelsk Peat Research and Production Company Complex. Both sides actively exchanged views online and offline on the resource advantages and cooperation methods of the Russian peat project, laying a solid foundation for collaboration and building an efficient platform to promote practical China-Russia cooperation in the peat sector.
