On May 21st, Li Dianping, President of China-ASEAN Chamber of Agricultural Commerce (CACAC), and Fan Huiqun, Vice-president and Secretary-General of CACAC visited the ASEAN-China Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Center”) and held friendly talks with Guo Chuanxiong, Director of Trade Investment Department of the Center and Li Sa, Division- chief of Trade Investment Department of the Center.

President Li Dianping first thanked the Center for arranging this meeting and introducing relevant information of the Center, then briefly introduced the agricultural means of production business of All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives and the basic information of CACAC. He said that since both parties are unanimous in their goal of serving China-ASEAN development, and have great correlativity and convergence in work development and event organization, CACAC and the Center have great potential and space for enhanced cooperation and exchanges in the future. Vice-president Fan Huiqun introduced the main activities and favorable conditions of CACAC in promoting agricultural exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries, and put forward the intentions and suggestions for strengthening the interaction with the Center and cooperating to carry out activities.

Director Guo Chuanxiong welcomed the visit of CACAC and introduced the institution setting, personnel, and work of the ASEAN-China Center. He very much agrees with the recommendations proposed by CACAC. He said that CACAC, as a professional social organization concerning foreign affairs, has the advantage of being close to the company and satisfying both domestic and foreign needs. The center will actively support the work of CACAC, strengthen business contacts and cooperation with CACAC, explore ways and opportunities for cooperation in multiple fields so as to further enhance exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN.

This visit has laid a good foundation for CACAC to strengthen the contact and cooperation with the China-ASEAN Center and expand new space for foreign exchanges.
