Thailand’s rice exports in the first quarter of 2023 were at 2.06 million tonnes, up 18.48% from a year earlier, the Commerce Ministry of Thailand said on Apr. 24.

The exported rice was worth about 38 billion baht ($1.10 billion), up 29.26% year on year, the ministry said in a statement. The ministry predicts rice exports of 7.5-8 million tonnes this year.
